The top social networks that most
small businesses use are Facebook and Twitter - and historically they've been
great free tools for content distribution.
But if you have a Facebook fan page,
then perhaps you've heard that only about 16% of your fans will actually
see the updates you post to your timeline.
That's because Facebook wants you to buy their advertising to promote your
message. This even has some considering it a bad investment for small businesses.
Facebook is not the only social
network where your reach can be limited. If people are using Twitter search to
locate information, they have to specifically click "All" to see all
tweets or profile bios with a specific keyword.
